10 Hollywood Movies Oscar Missed 2012
Besides the movies in the past 85th Oscar, there are always movies that Oscar has missed. We had seen the list collected by TIME Magazine about "10 best movies we missed this year", now I will list my 10 excellent Hollywood movies Oscar missed this year. "The Dark Knight Rises", "The Amazing Spider-Man", "Ted", and "The Cabin in the Woods" are good films, but they are not even get nominated in the Oscar.
Anyhow, congratulations to the winners and nominees, at the same time, let's look at those lost pearls.

Terrorists occupied the city, superhero found its way out of its low point, the up and down plot conflict, rampant stimulus scenes, upturns of religion, revenge, and the anarchism, which made "The Dark Knight Rise" the perfect series finale. And because "Inception" had been successfully nominated as one of the Best Picture from last Oscar, fans including me, believed that the new Christopher Nolan's new movie would continue for a number of nominations. But it is striking that "Batman" is not even mentioned in Oscar's list.

The movie had been in trouble from its beginning preparatory step. Due to the collective resignations of the old Spider-Man's director and actors, Colombia had to call in the director Marc Webb who has directed " 500 Days of Summer" to "Spider-Man". Although the new version has only got an investment of poor 90 million, Marc had fulfilled the mission, and spent the 90 million on its head. No matter fighting, special effects, or soundtrack are majestic and forceful, and combine its fresh love story, very affecting. Even though, when " The Amazing Spider-Man " meets Oscar, it is annihilated failed in Oscar's nomination, just like Batman.

No.3 Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted
I've heard lot friends saying that the "Madagascar 3" is the best episode of its series. The story continues in the adventure of the four main characters, and joins villain Captain Dubois of Animal Control, with the fame-loving King Julien and the take-charge Penguins along for the ride, the movie became exciting, charming and funny, ultimately, it also states to children with a confident philosophy for life. Now "Brave" has become the Best Animated Feature Film, while Madagascar 3 had not even been nominated.

In the early stage of the movie, its screenwriter Jose Verden has not made a deal about "The Avengers" with Marvel Entertainment; and MGM has failed its movie copyrights to Lions Gate due to bankruptcy. But such a humble class B movie has sparked attentions that no less than A-level mainstream commercial blockbusters. Its plot design is like a wrap-up baffle of all American horror movies, and boldly attacked government used murder as a weapon to cover doomsday. Today, when fans are tirelessly searching for the monsters' information that have been appeared in the movie, Oscar abandoned such a classic masterpiece completely.

No.5 TED
The excited but unexpected surprises of TED are, its Spielberg-type fairy tale's feel, and the method of using the well-known plush toy to walking on the line of X-rated movies. TED satirized race, religion, emotion and reality, but at same time it is adjusted with warmth. As the 2012 best Hollywood comedy, TED has brought countless laughter but it is just not Oscar's cutoff tea. Hence, this cute, funny and cool toy bear had to accept the Oscar non-nomination embarrassing fate.

No.6 Cloud Atlas
The story of this sci-fi masterwork is split, 6 lines about past and present. After "Inception", it is the one dedicated to torture its audience's eyesight and intelligence. The three directors from "The Matrix" and "Perfume" joint to state developments, subversions and pains in human's history, that is super innovated. Unfortunately, those excessive burning brain movies get neither high level of business at the box office, nor the favors of the Oscar judges. In the 85th Oscar, "Cloud Atlas" has not even nominated in the makeup and hairstyle award.

No.7 Hotel Transylvania
Dracula, Frank, transparency, skeletons and other monsters, joined a vampire father to block his daughter to choose spouse. The dance, make fun and chasing are impressive and imaginative. And the themes of break stubborn and accept new things, plus superficial affection and love, all are full of whimsy. However, like "Arthur Christmas", zero nominations in Oscar.

No.8 People Like Us

I've never thought the director of "The Legend of Zorro", "Transformers" and "Star Trek", would undo to shoot such an artistic film. And I've never thought that such a low-profile movie would surprise me like "The Help" from last year. And never expecting the last minutes when roll film plays the brother and sister's childhood, I will cry like the old moments when I saw "Nuovo cinema Paradiso".
And actually, the hero of the movie did not expected he has a sister and a nephew, also did not expect to be responsible for a family. We all know to be forgiveness to family members' faults, but never thought of how to face, handle and cherish. The movie is telling us to face the problems. Not only the episode "Mcmorrow – we don't eat" is beautiful, but also the story and characters are believable.

No.9 End of Watch
The fake-documentary style "End of Watch", it has both ramble laugh lines, and some true portrayal of the policemen's civilian life. And courage and casualties of the police to crack down criminals are the absolute crowning touch point. The movie shows cases and murders, and the optimistic spirit of sacrifice of U.S. police. However, it is a niche film, and not be favored by Oscar.

No.10 The Words

This is the first movie of Brian Krugman and Lee Sternthal, who wrote "Tron: Legacy". The perspective of its story telling is very smart, one story twists the other, it has three stories, and details are exquisite. In the third story, the young man and his girlfriend would separate, and the scene of the separate in train station prompts audience's tears. Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Irons demonstrated extraordinary performances.
This is a story follows the routine of traditional classic literature, but its themes – life, choice, success, failure, opportunity and lust, beyond complete its entertainment, and has not fallen into conventional pattern of thriller or romance flick. It is heartbroken that "The Words" being comprehensively defeated by Oscar, since it is really a wonderful movie.
